Two Steps From Hell releases Illumina

Posted in Uncategorized on July 25, 2010 by nemesistjb

For the past month or so I’ve been working on “Illumina”, a very different album than what you’re used to from Two Steps From Hell. It’s a very dreamy sequel to “Dreams and Imaginations”, and takes a step away from your typical blasting epic trailer music. I’m playing guitar and electric violin on it, and I’ve written 30 of the 33 tracks on the album (Nick has written “Missing Letters”, “Rapture” and “Prelude to a Nightmare”). Because the music isn’t really typical of what Two Steps are known for we decided not to release this one to the public, but perhaps some cues will be featured on a future release. You can listen to my tracks on Extreme Music’s site, or the mp3 demo:

Two Steps relocate their studios

Posted in Uncategorized on August 13, 2009 by nemesistjb

Hello everyone! The reason why there haven’t been many updates lately is that we’ve have been moving our studios to Santa Monica in Los Angeles. There’s still a lot of work left but we’ll be up and running again shortly. Power of Darkness has not yet been released. Once it’s done we will compile our first commercially available album. Thanks for all of your support!

Freedom Fighters

Posted in Uncategorized on March 7, 2009 by nemesistjb

There has been a lot of interest in the Freedom Fighters music in the new Star Trek trailer (thanks!) so here’s some more information for you. The executives at Paramount studios ultimately had the final say in what music was used for the trailer. They ended up liking the music so much they wanted exclusive rights to use it (to avoid us from licensing it to other advertisement campaigns). This does however not mean that the music cannot be published on CD, and we’ll likely include the modified version on one of our future public releases.

Make sure you catch the trailer at your local theatre, as the surround sound mixing is EPIC!
